This wine’s fragrance offer caramel apple and pear.
Smooth, lean and direct on the palate, its flavours suggest green apple, pineapple and other tropical fruits, and soft butterscotch lingering on the finish.
Composed of chardonnay from our Estate and Moira sites, harvested October 6th when grape sugars averaged 21.6° brix. The juice was fermented, 55% in French oak barrels and 45% in temperature-controlled stainless steel vessels. Following, all the wine was aged for 15 months in barrel.
At the time of bottling in December 2015, alcohol was measured at 13%, residual sugar 0.3 grams per litre, titratable acidity at 6.2 grams per litre and pH at 3.27.
This vintage will drink well through 2019.
Production was 462 cases.
