Few Canadian wineries take rosé as seriously as @malivoire. It was part of the opening inventory and has been subject to ongoing research and development to a point where @malivoire pink portfolio stands amongst the very best wines in the country. Winemakers Notes
So many treats to unpack! Multi-layers of fruit greet the nose: strawberry, cherry, plumb, peach, lime cordial, with underlying watermelon, white chocolate and elderflower.
The palate is delicate while brightly focused. Expressions of red berries, stone fruits, citrus and melon share the glass with white raspberry and blueberry.
Grapefruit, rhubarb and rosemary linger in a creamy, fresh finish.
Hand-picked on the cool mornings of September 20th – 21st from the original Moira Vineyard. Grape sugars averaged 20.6° Brix.
Vinification: Whole grape clusters were gently pressed for minimal contact between juice and skins. After briefly chilling in a low-profile stainless-steel tank (resembling a dairy tank) for optimum lees contact, the juice transferred to a standard steel tank for cool fermentation. The finished wine was bottled in January 2021.
DRY: 0 g sugar
At the time of bottling, alcohol measured 12.5%; residual sugar: 0 grams per litre; 5.9 titratable acidity: 3.33 grams per litre pH:

Palest pink in colour; raspberry, citrus nose with a thread of minerality; medium-bodied, dry, fresh and lively on the palate, red berry flavours carried on vibrant acidity. A tribute to southern France Rosés.

A new look and another beauty from Malivoire’s multi-tiered rosé portfolio. This Pinot Noir based rosé shows a pale pink colour in the glass with a nose of fresh-picked raspberries, strawberries, subtle herbs and a hint of citrus zest. It’s ripe on the palate but made in a bone-dry expression with a basket of red berries, mouth-watering acidity and a zesty lime finish.

Deep, rich and layered aromas deliver a smorgasbord of fruit with strawberry, rhubarb and watermelon to the fore. It awakens the palate with a racy streak of tang-laden passionfruit, lemon curd and pomegranate that join with ripe flavours of wild strawberry, pie cherry and grilled savory herbs. It finishes in a lingering aftertaste with great élan and elegance that fleshes out ripe fruit and racy tang. Give this a go with a pan-seared fillet of Atlantic salmon under a squeeze of fresh lemon when served.
