A taste finds the wine fresh and lively with vibrant acidity, and flavours of peaches and cream, green apple and lemon. Traces of oak and citrus linger.
Grapes were hand-picked from our Moira and winery Estate sites at average 22° brix.
After primary and partial malo-lactic fermentation, 50% of the wine remained in stainless steel while the other half transferred to French oak.
Aging: 50% to stainless steel, 50% to French oak puncheons (7% new) for nine months before bottling in August 2017.
When bottled, alcohol measured 13%, residual sugar 2 grams per litre, titratable acidity 5.8 grams per litre and pH 3.42.
An excellent companion for a wide variety of food including roast pork tenderloin, pan seared salmon and poultry.
