Delicately fragrant of apricot, pear, candied fruit and honey with an underlying flintiness.
The wine is creamy, energetic and medium-bodied with taste offerings of green apple, lemon, pineapple and toasty vanilla barrel notes.
Grapes were hand-picked from our Moira, Mottiar and winery Estate sites between October 8th and 23rd as grape sugars reached average 21° Brix.
Following primary and partial malo-lactic fermentation, 40% of the wine remained in stainless steel while the larger portion transferred to French oak. After nine months to age, the wine was bottled in August 2018.
When bottled, alcohol measured 12.5%, residual sugar 0 grams per litre, titratable acidity 6 grams per litre and pH 3.48.
An excellent companion for a wide variety of foods including with grilled salmon or pork chops. Serve at 10° C.
