2018 Forgotten Row Chardonnay
Winemaker's Notes:
The scent brings thoughts of apple crisp, citrus, pear and ginger. A taste finds a supple, luxurious mouthfeel, while flavours suggest apple, kiwi, lime, baking spices and caramel.
Harvested by hand from our Estate and Moira Vineyards on October 8th as grape sugars averaged 22.1° Brix.
The wine was oak-fermented, 15% in new barrels, 30% in 1,000-L casks and the remainder in neutral oak. After primary and full malo-lactic fermentation, the wine rested a further 10 months in French oak. Bottling in August 2019 filled 158 cases.
Dry: 2.5 g residual sugar
