Scented of pineapple, pear, and citrusy creamsicle and lemon custard. A taste reminds of green apple, lime, kiwi and crème brûlé, and lingering traces of toasted caramel.
Grapes were hand-picked from our Moira and winery Estate sites at average 22° brix.
After primary and partial malo-lactic fermentation, 50% of the wine remained in stainless steel while the other half transferred to French oak barrels.
50% to stainless steel, 50% to French oak puncheons (1 in 14 new) for nine months before bottling in August 2017.
At the time of bottling, alcohol measured 13%, residual sugar 2 grams per litre, titratable acidity 5.8 grams per litre and pH 3.42.
This vintage will drink well through 2020.
