Aromas combine fruity blackberry, cherry and raisin, earthy capsicum and oilskin, and spicy nutmeg. It is round, supple, and juicy in the mouth, and flavoured of blackberry, blackcurrant, bramble fruit and plum, leaving a clean, toffee-tinged finish.
Picked at Wismer Vineyard on October 17th as grape sugars averaged 22.6 ° Brix.
Primary fermentation, partial carbonic maceration and full malo-lactic fermentation were completed in neutral oak. Most of the wine remained in barrel, except for a 5 % portion that aged for 5 months in a ceramic orb, followed by 11 months in barrel.
At the time of bottling, in February 2020, alcohol was measured at 13%; residual sugar at 0 grams per Litre and titratable acidity, 5.4 grams per litre and pH: 3.75.

90 points, John Szabo ms, WineAlign.com A cabernet on the leafier, more herbal side of the spectrum, well within varietal parameters, though in the lighter, zestier idiom. It's still very youthful and even a touch reductive, with some peppery notes joining crunchy fresh red and black raspberry fruit. Tannins are fine and gritty and acids fresh. It's the sort of wine to tuck in the cellar for another year or so, then chill lightly and enjoy with a plate of charcuterie. Tasted May 2020.
90 points, David Lawrason , WineAlign.com From the Wismer Vineyard, this is light and lively version of cab franc very much in Malivoire's style. There is very little perceptible oak. The nose expresses typical violets, currant-raspberry fruit, fresh herbs and pepper, the latter really trailing on the finish. It is a light to mid-weight juicy style. Easy to drink. Tasted May 2020
