Few Canadian wineries take rosé as seriously as @malivoire. It was part of the opening inventory and has been subject to ongoing research and development to a point where @malivoire pink portfolio stands amongst the very best wines in the country. The new Vivant Rosé is made from 100 percent estate grown pinot noir and is 100 percent delicious. Its bright and fruity character is refreshingly dry and complete. Drink now to 2022.

Winemakers Notes

The nose finds a fruity, candied, floral and flinty bouquet; maraschino cherry and cranberry come to mind.  With a zesty, clean mouthfeel, Vivant delivers flavours of cherry, raspberry, Bartlett pear, pomegranate and Key lime.

Estate-grown pinot noir was hand-picked at cool daybreak temperature on September 30th, as grape sugars averaged 21.3° Brix.

The grapes were whole-cluster-pressed directly after picking.  Taken from the press, the juice was chilled in a horizontal “dairy tank” prior to cool fermentation in stainless steel.  The new Vivant was bottled in January 2020.

DRY: 0 sugar

At the time of bottling, alcohol measured 12.5%; residual sugar: 0 grams per litre; titratable acidity: 8.5 grams per litre pH: 3.32

Enjoy now to 2022.  Serve at temperatures near 11° C with soft cheeses and a variety of fish and shellfish.
