2021 Forgotten Row Chardonnay

Craving a Rich + Complex Chardonnay?

Winemaker's Notes:

Sunny pineapple and banana tempt the nose, beside expressions of apple pie, poached pear, caramel and vanilla cream. The mouthfeel is sleek and zesty with pleasing weight.  Tropical fruit and vanilla characters extend to the palate, underscored by a toasty, flinty edge.

The grapes were hand-harvested October 3rd from the mature vines of our Moira Vineyard, at average grape sugar 21.5° Brix.

The juice, pressed from destemmed grapes, finished primary and malo-lactic fermention in French oak barrels (16% new, remainder neutral), with monthly battonage.  After a year and four months in oak, the finished wine was blended and bottled in March 2023.

Enjoy now through 2030.
