#2 - VINEYARDS

Malivoire Wines’ founding site was the Moira Vineyard, which offered the Bench location, mesoclimate, topography and soil that Martin was looking for. However, its limited area could not accommodate a winery without reducing its precious arable land.

Within a year, Martin had found his solution, a neighbouring orchard (that became our Estate Vineyard) with ample acreage and viticultural attributes nearly identical to those of the Moira Vineyard. Together, the properties amounted to roughly twenty hectares.

Over the next ten years they were joined by a third Bench site, the Mottiar vineyard belonging to head Winemaker Shiraz Mottiar, and the Lincoln Lakeshore Stouck Vineyard, owned by Assistant Winemaker Dan Stouck.
