The journey began with an idea gestating in the mind of Martin Malivoire, a film industry special effects director who harboured a lifelong fascination for wine. From this came a resolve to invest himself and to learn what impact he could have on the world of wine from Canadian terroir.

As he took stock of the burgeoning Niagara wine region, Martin became increasingly fixed on a young, vaguely defined space sometimes referred to as the Beamsville Bench. There, he sensed, lay slumbering potential that a winegrower with a sense of purpose could unlock. #20yearsin20posts
