Malivoire introduced itself to the Ontario market with releases of Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Ladybug Rose, Old vines Foch and Gewürztraminer icewine. Production from the 1998 harvest was a modest 1,200 cases.
The following vintage we bottled our first Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, and production was 4,700 cases. The 2000 season introduced Gamay and output reached 7,500 cases. More notable first releases were to come: Melon, Musqué Spritz and Courtney Gamay in 2002, Mottiar Vineyard wines in 2007, Stouck Vineyard wines in 2010 and, our first pale rosé in 2013, and first Traditional Method sparkling wines in 2015.
Today Malivoire produces well over twenty wines on a regular basis, totaling, on average, 30 thousand cases a year. #20Yearsin20Posts
