An immaculate growing season for Niagara pinot noir left us this rarity.
Reposing opaque dark ruby in the glass, it greets with deep red fruit aromas of cherry-kirsch and raspberry, accented by vanilla, sandalwood, leather and forest floor.

The mouthful is round, silky and bright, flavoured of black cherry, cranberry, red licorice and spicy cinnamon, trailing to an earthier black tea finish.

This one-of-a kind cuvée arises from a premium barrel selection by our Winemaker.

Vinification Notes

Picked by hand from two blocks of young vines at the Moira and Malivoire Estate Vineyards on September 30th as grape sugars averaged 21° Brix.

For this micro-cuvée the hand-sorted grapes, kept separate according to vineyard, were destemmed and fermented in a stainless-steel tank. The wine was next transferred to neutral French oak barrels to age for 10 months.

In July 2023 the barrels were blended, and 42 cases were bottled unfiltered.
