Winemaker's Notes

65% cabernet franc, 35% gamay

Bountiful aromas embrace black cherry, raspberry jam and red currant, adding fragrances of thyme and woodchip. The texture is plush and bright with smooth, easy-going tannins. The flavour reveals tart strawberry, cherry and raspberry, training to a savoury olive brine, roasted pepper finish.

Vinification Notes

Gamay from the Courtney block of the Malivoire Estate vineyard and cabernet franc from the Ianello Vineyard were at 22.8° and 21.1° Brix respectively.

Gamay grape clusters co-fermented in an oak tank with destemmed
cabernet franc. After pressing, the wine was drained to French oak barrels to age a further ten months, filling 224 cases in August 2025.

At the time of bottling, alcohol was measured at 12.5%; residual sugar at 0 grams per Litre and titratable acidity, 5.9 grams per litre and pH: 3.63.

Best enjoyed near 15°C with barbecue-blackened chicken and a side of veggie kebabs or grilled halloumi with za’atar and pomegranate.
