2022 Old Vines Foch

Winemaker's Notes:

The deep, mahogany shade is the first clue to what this burly red has in store. Earthy  aromas of cedar, hickory and moss give way to fruitier cranberry, blackberry and spicy clove and cinnamon.

It’s smooth and lithe with appley acidity, elevating husky, lasting flavours of blue and black berry fruits, vanilla, pepper and spice.

Dry: 1 g/L sugar

Cellaring Tips:  Enjoy now to 2032.  If you haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy a back vintage Old Vines Foch yet then now may be the ideal time to start the process.  Simply squirrel away one or two bottles a dark corner of your home that has moderately constant temperature (a closet floor does nicely).  Perhaps even add a note with your intended 'When to Open Date' like ... save until Dec 2028 or even longer if you’re feeling adventurous. 

Of course, make sure that you have enough to enjoy while you wait!
