Winemaker's Notes:

Spirited aromas of peach, tropical and candied fruits, golden raisin, tasty honeydew melon and fragrant honeysuckle rise from the glass. The fluid is soft, silky and luscious, holding flavours of cantaloupe, white grapefruit and lime, progressing to a mineral-citrus finish.

Vinification Notes

Hand-picked October 10th from the Mottiar Vineyard at average 20.9° Brix grape sugar.

From press, the juice fermented in mature (five-to-ten-year-old) 300-Litre French oak barrels. Completing partial malo-lactic conversion, the wine aged in barrel for ten months before 142 cases were bottled in August 2024.

At the time of bottling, alcohol measured 12.5 %; residual sugar 1.5 grams per Litre; Titratable Acidity 7.5 grams per Litre; pH 3.36.

Near 10°C with Chicken Marsala, soft shell crab dipped in butter, mussels in creamy tarragon sauce, creamy potato soup, mild Vegetable Korma, pumpkin curry or fresh-cut fries with truffle aioli.
