Born from the recognizable Wismer-Foxcroft vineyard on the Twenty Mile Bench, this gamay is ready to enjoy now, yet will reward cellaring.

Winemaker's Notes:

Baked raspberry filling, cherry turnover white pepper and fragrant nutmeg and cinnamon treat the nose. A sip is soft and fresh, tasting of bright red berries, white pepper and savoury spice.

At the time of bottling, alcohol measured 12.5%, residual sugar: 0.0 grams per litre titratable acidity: 6.8 grams per litre and pH: 3.37.

Dry: 0 g/L residual sugar

Vinification Notes

Grape clusters reaching 21° Brix were picked at the Wismer Foxcroft site on the 12th of October.

Destemmed grapes completed primary and malolactic fermentation in a stainless-steel tank. After transfer to neutral French oak for an additional ten months, 145 cases were bottled in May 2025.

In the 2024 vintage Malivoire has released at least five gamays. From one of the top sites on the Niagara Escarpment, this is a very tidy, elegant and intriguing edition with complex strawberry/pomegranate, fine pine forest, spice and pepper. It is light bodied, very silky yet having some energy, minerality on the palate. Serious almost pinot noir-like. Excellent to outstanding length. Tasted February 2026

Bright and brambly, this raspberry-led gamay from the single-vineyard Wismer Foxcroft is crafted in a fully destemmed style and aged 10 months in neutral French oak. Dry, with very fine tannins, it strikes a fine balance between fruit and spice. Lively acidity keeps the palate buoyant, where concentrated red fruits mingle with hints of wildflower. A slight chill would sharpen and further define the fruit. Ready to drink. Tasted February 2026.
