2025 Melon

This wine is so exciting! It blows my mind that this varietal is grown here in Ontario and drinking like this. All the hallmarks of a Loire Melon de Bourgogne, but with its own regional swagger. The aromatics are expressive, fluttering between generosity and delicacy, but underneath is a genuinely tense, high-acid structure with that classic citrus-mineral finish. You get a little of that creamy texture without ever losing freshness. Lean, vivid, and bracingly dry. This is going on repeat.

A flavourful and versatile wine. Went wonderfully with the chicken piccata tonight and the roasted turbot a week ago.

My husband and I are going through this case of Melon wine too quickly. Every day we have a couple of glasses. It is delightful; Melon wine is a favourite of mine. I do have a few friends that I have to educate by telling them it is not made of melons.

Great acidity and balance. Very enjoyable refreshing wine that will be great to enjoy drinking pre dinner on the patio when the weather warms up.
